Program Duration
April 2017 - October 2018
27 holes drilled by Regulus, 2 re-drilled holes, and 4 holes partially drilled by Coimolache onto Regulus groundTotal Meters Drilled
20,332.35 m
Total Holes Drilled
33 diamond drill holes averaging 700-800m in depth
The Phase I program commenced on the southernmost margin of the Regulus concessions and then moved to the north onto Regulus mineral concessions (Figure 1).
The program consisted of 27 diamond drill holes (AK-17-001 to AK-18-027), including two holes that were lost and re-drilled, for a total of 20,332.35 m. The hole lengths varied from 433.75 m to 1,421.40 m, with an average length of 801.76 m (excluding the two lost holes; 3A and 12A).

Table 3. Summary of all drilling carried out at the Antakori Project.
Abbreviations: DDH = diamond drill hole. RCH = reverse circulation drill hole.
Notes: (1) number of holes (“a number of holes”), meterage and location not known; (3) meterage and location not known; (1, 3) no assays; (2) Cu assays only; (1-3) no drill core; (1-3) not in database; (4) Parts of CMC holes that cut Regulus concessions.Historical diamond drilling was carried out pre-1997 by Northern Peru Mining & Smelting Corporation (1923), Cerro de Pasco Corporation (1964), and Kennecott Corporation (1970). No accurate drill hole locations, azimuths or plunges for these holes have been located. In addition, no assays with certificates, drill core or other information from these holes has been found and hence they are not included in the Regulus database, nor were they used in either the 2012 Southern Legacy Minerals resource or the pending 2019 Regulus Resources resource calculations.
A summary of drill hole collar information for more recent historical diamond drilling programs carried out at Antakori (Sinchao) by El Misti Gold in 1997-98 and Sinchao Metals Corp. in 2007-08 is given in Table 4 (click here to view). Similar collar information for the historical reverse circulation drilling programs carried out by El Misti Gold in 1997-98 are listed in Table 5 (click here to view).
The 1997-98 drill program was carried out by reverse circulation drilling and conventional wireline diamond drilling. The 2007-08 drill program was carried out by conventional wireline diamond drilling. The drill core diameters used for the 1998 diamond drill programme were HQ (core diameter 63.5 mm) and NQ (47.6 mm). The HQ3 (61.1 mm) split‐tube sampling system was used for 6 holes (SDH‐001, 005, 007, 008, 009 and 010). The core diameters used for the 2007-08 diamond drill programme were PQ (core diameter 85.0 mm), HQ (63.5 mm) and NQ (47.6 mm).To see the full exploration history, visit our AntaKori Exploration History page.
